With the remaining hobgoblin and bugbear out of action, the squire Oktamor begins a charge toward the archers. If this were an army, the archers would quiver with fear, as surely calvery is an archer's worst nightmare.

Once in range, Oktamor swings his now bloody battleaxe out toward the nearest goblin archer. The momentum of the warhorse Midnight continues into their lines, as the mount attempts to trample whatever might get in his way.

The Bugbear served Justice in a way, the squire Vaelgar watches as the hobgoblin is also delt with. Realizing that the other hobgoblin has gotten away he turns his attention to aiding the poor man beset by two archers. "Justice! Mount!" He commands his horse, grabbing the horn on the saddle with one hand, his sword in the other he jams a mailed foot into the stir up and tries to quickly mount his horse. Once atop the horse he at once kicks the flanks of his mount and follows behind his brother charging with his sword toward the other target. He swings his sword down at the skull of the archer.

Kialar Bends to one knee readying himself for the upcoming chalange. He reaches within himself drawing deep into his soul, a small shimmering starts in his chest and rapidly expands covering him ina soft yellow and white glow.

The Bugbear regains it's wits even as the knights turn to chase down the archers, it stands there looking down on it's fallen axe, it waits.

The wounded archer turns towards Oktamore as he spurs his mount, Realizing the danger now approaching he shouts, "Ware Cavalry!" Even as he shouts he draws the bow back to his ear and lets fly. The arrow flies true slamming through Oktamore's scale mail and pushing deep into his abdomen.


The second archer draws his bow and fires again at the monk. The Arrow cuts through the air with a hiss to draw a line of fire on Kialar's shoulders tearing his shirt and letting his blood to the air..


Vaelgar Calls to Justice who stops briefly to let him mount, but the process takes longer then expected, but he does mount, readying his Sword he turns justice into a trot readying to charge next round.


Oktamore already mounted turns Midnight and quickly charges towards the archer, even with the arrow in his belly he is not detered. Turf fly's behind him as he swings underhanded at the archer his battleaxe slams into the archers chest chest ripping into the human's chest. when Oktamore draws his axe back the archer staggars away


As Vaelgar turns his back the Bugbear pulls from his belt a letter that he promptly injests. He then draws a dagger and stabs himself ending his own life.

The hobgoblin's arrow lodges itself into Oktamor's stomach. A sick feeling passes over the squire even as he rides. The shaft is coated with blood only after a few moments, but the trained man attempts to ignore it.

He spares only a short glance, and then rides on, swinging his battleaxe and connecting. Oktamor does not end his assault, turning his warhorse and persuing the archer, again swinging his battleaxe down violently in an attempt to bring an end to this fight.

[spoiler]I assume I am threatening the archer(s) at this point[spoiler]

Mounted, Vaelgar watches helplessly as the Bugbear ends its own life rather than be taken capture. Dedication to his cause. Worthy loyalty, but misplaced. "Curses! He took his own life brother! We may never know now..." He kicks his mounts flanks with his feet, and charges in at the second archer, the one his bother isn't fighting. Justice thunders, kicking up turf and dirst, "I am Vaelgar Oathsworn! Squire of the Knights of the Crown! By the Oath and Messure you will pay for your vile acts!" He swings his bastard sword over his head in circles before it drops down into a heavy handed cleave at the man. "Stay clear!", he shouts to the other wounded man, Kialar.

Kialar draws his Sai from his sheath chargeing the archer not hearing Vaelgar's shout. He charges in his sai raised high but his toe catches a stone at the last secon causeing him to stumble! the archer easily parry's the strike.


The now grievously wounded archer drops his bow drawing his Rapier from it's sheath and strikes out at Oktamor. teh blades slide cleanly through his scalemail to open up a bleeding hole in Oktamor's leg.


The Other archer draws a Falchion from his back and heaves at Kialar. The curved blade slams home into te unarmored man's shoulder takeing with it a larde amount of blood.


Vaelgar spurs Justice forward sighing mightly as the monk launches an attack anyways. Shortly after the Archer uses his falchion to good effect vaelgar arrieves behind him, The squire cannot miss this target and his blade strikes true ripping a great wound across the Archers back.


Oktamor Rather violently responds to the rapier and swings his battle axe down in a Violent arc simply hacking at the archer as he is in so much pain. The brutuly simple swing works and the Axe connects with the man's unarmored head sending him sprawling to the ground unconcious.

Kialar's shoulder burns with pain as the blades rips through his flesh. His arms hangs down, sai pointed at the ground. Despite the wound, the healer's mood improves as he processes what has happened. Just these two have dispatched the hobgoblins and the bugbear. This battle is soon over.

Unsure his shoulder can properly swing the weapon he strikes out with his fist instead. Leaving a "knuckle print" in someone's nose is more satisfying anyway.

Justice , with rider atop, rears up, and brings heavy iron shod hoof down at the last archer. It is followed only a fraction of a second behind with another overhand chop of Vaelgar's bastard sword. The rider has put the archer on his shield side, to make sure he gains the best protection he can from. "You are hurt, withdraw stranger! I will dispatch this last foe by the right of the Oath and Messure." The squire blieves hole hearthily that right and justice is served at the end of his sword.

The young squire Oktamor rips the blade of his battleaxe out of the hobgoblin's skull. His head turns, peering over toward the last archer, who is now beset upon all sides.

Fearing the creature might run, Oktamor fixes his battleaxe back to his belt and closes his eyes. What once appears a valiant knight-in-training now draws forth energy from beyond.

He feels the power in his blood, and attempts to draw it forth onto his fingertips and hurl it at the last creature so that they might down it before its escape!

Kialar feeling numbness in his main arm instead strikes out unarmed at the horrbly mangled archer attempting to fell him. his bare hand striking out and cracking a rib of the last archer sending him stagaring back towards Vaelgar's sword!


The Archer confused and disorientated again lashes out at the healer trying to bring him down. But the viscious and probably last ttack he makes colides and is turned away by Kialar's Faith.


Justice Rears up mightly Lashing out on the archer but missing wildly.


Vaelgar lashes out with his Bastard sword bringing it down in a relentless arc. The blade bites home in the archerchers Solar plexus and stops his heart. the defeated lay crumpled on the ground.

Kialar steps back two steps, just now realizing the two warriors were addressing him. He thought there were more men here. As he looks around the battlefield he can see the fight is over. Finally, he addresses the two riders, "Sirs, there was a message, we should find it." While talking he sees that both men have been injured about as badly as himself.

Scanning the grounds around him, making sure the archers are dead he gallops back to the Bugbear and the Hobgoblin there, as he calls out to the stranger, "I believe this beast ate the message..." he points with his still drawn sword at the beast. "I have no desire to gut him and see what is left of it." He high steps Justice around the hobgoblin and the bugbear scanning the country side from time to time, one of them did get away. "Your name sir, and your purpose in these parts. I have said before I am Vaelgar Oathsworn, and is his my younger brother Oktamor. Squires of the Knights of the Crown, and tasked with an important mission. A mission we can not hesitate to complete." His mount continues moves around, forcing Vaelgar to turn from side to side to keep his eyes on Kialar. He eventually stops the moving horse and notices, almost for the first time that he is wounded. Huh, how did that happen?

The scean is a mix of manglled bodies, there is one Hobgoblin left "Alive" but it is unconcious bleeding from several major wounds, of the one that fled there is no sign. The Bubear has a mighty war axe, laying strewn next to it's body. Ripped and dented Half-plate armor for a beas this size, he caries a small traveling pouch and of course his war horn.

The archers both had composite long bows, one carried a mighty 2 ahnded falchion the other a slender rapier, they wore along with the Hobgoblin's a loose chain armor, The archers caried nothing else save their bag for arrows. The majority of the Mixed ambushers gear must be in their camp, from the direction Kialar came, as well as Kialar's personal effects.

Vaelgar finally sheaths his sword and dismounts slowly, a hand over his largest wound. "Our enemy may have something to tell us." The squire rumages in his saddle bags and draws out a healers kit. With it he tends to the hobgoblin's wound, preventing further bleeding, and doing his best on the goblinoid physiology to heal the creature. A defeated foe deserves such mercy.

Once he is complete there he will call to Kailar and Oktamor to allow him to tend their wounds as well. He first uses his mundane powers to apply salves, bandages and ointments to the wounds, going so far as to stich up the largest of the gashes. Once complete, assuming that they are still wounded, he will pause in prayer. Lowering his head in silent suplication the squire calls on the healing graces of Kiri-Jolith to grant the others relief of pain and protection of infection, their worthy service payment for the gift of life.

The younger Oathsworn dismounts his horse and sighs, one hand holding onto the arrow lodged in his abdomen.

Oktamor's gate is slow, as his body is bloodied, and while leading Midnight toward his brother and the stranger, he says, "I had not expected them to be so well armed."

When Vaelgar is ready, Oktamor pulls the arrow from his belly, and allows his brother to heal him concurrently.
